Tomasz Lew Leśniak

Tomasz Lew Leśniak (né en 1977). Dessinateur et réalisateur de films d'animation. Diplômé en graphisme de l'Académie européenne des beaux-arts de Varsovie. Avec le scénariste Rafał Skarżycki, ils ont créé Georges le Hérisson (Jeż Jerzy), l'un des plus célèbres personnages de la bande dessinée polonaise, ainsi que les séries Tim et le Maître (Tymek i Mistrz) et La Pologne championne de la Pologne (Polska mistrzem Polski). Fondateur du fanzine La Chair (Mięso), il a publié dans la presse et, notamment, dans des magazines comme AQQ, Arena Komiks, Komiks Forum, Le Temps de la bande dessinée, anthologie (Czas Komiksu, antologia) ou Le Produit (Produkt).
Rafał Skarżycki et lui ont été lauréats du grand prix du Festival national de la bande dessinée de Łódź 1999 pour Georges le Hérisson. Il est un des réalisateurs du long-métrage d'animation intitulé Georges le Hérisson (2010) et a été membre de l’équipe de réalisation de la série animée Kaïko et Kokoche, adaptée des bandes dessinées de Janusz Christa, accessible sur la plateforme Netflix.

 

Rafał Skarżycki (né en 1977). Scénariste et écrivain. Diplômé en philosophie de l’université de Varsovie. Il travaille en priorité avec le dessinateur Tomasz Lew Leśniak, mais a collaboré aussi avec Bogusław Polch, Ernesto Gonzales, Jakub Rebelka ou Przemysław ‹‹ Trust ›› Truściński.

The creator of the character of George the Hedgehog (Jeż Jerzy, script by Rafał Skarżcycki), one of the most popular Polish comic book heroes (eleven albums have been released so far). Drawer of the comic book series Tymek and the Master (Tymek i Mistrz, six volumes), Holiday stories as a warning to readers (Opowieści wakacyjne ku przestrodze czytelników),  Eusebius and Caesar (Euzebiusz i Cezary), Poland is the Polish champion (Polska mistrzem Polski) and books with comic elements Hej, Jędrek! (three volumes, scripts by Rafał Skarżyna). Draftsman of the Little Flowers (Kfiatuszki, series, script by Dennis Wojda). Creator of the Meat (Mięso) fanzine. He published in the press and in the most important Polish comic magazines, incl. in AQQ, Arena, Produkt and Ziniol. He was one of the directors of the full-length animated film entitled George the Hedgehog  (2010). He also directed a pilot for an animated series for children based on the comic book Tymek and the Master. Winner of the Grand Prix at the National Comic Book Artists' Convention in Łódź in 1999 for George the Hedgehog (script by Rafał Skarżycki).

Rafał Skarżycki (born in 1977). Screenwriter and writer. A graduate of philosophy at the University of Warsaw. He mainly collaborates with the cartoonist Tomasz Lew Leśniak. Comic book scriptwriter In Desert and Wilderness (W pustyni i w puszczy, based on a novel by Henryk Sienkiewicz, drawing by Wiesław Dojlidko), and Ballad of Edward (Ballada o Edwardzie. drawings by Jakub Rebelka). He published in the press and in the most important Polish comic magazines. Co-author of the script for the full-length animated film entitled George the Hedgehog (Jeż Jerzy, 2010). Author of the novel by Teleznowela (2009). Together with Tomasz Lew Leśniak, he won the Grand Prix at the National Comics Festival in Łódź in 1999.
